Master Cleanse is a Fail... South Beach Diet is a new start.

So I tried this master cleanse thing... It's basically a liquid-diet detox thing. It SUCKS. I made it about a day and a half and decided it was stupid. Although, I did loose a pound during that time, I was also working out too... But still. Stupid. So my mom recommended the South Beach Diet to me. She said she did it awhile ago and lost about 15-20lbs. So. Here goes...

I'm starting Phase 1 of the plan tomorrow... Which last for 14 days ( 2 weeks ) and you just pretty much eat normal portion sizes, but ALL carbs are restricted... I mean... Even fruits! It is the strictest phase in the diet, but it's only 2 weeks. It emphasizes lean meats and low-glycemic-index veggies, as well as low-fat cheese, nuts, eggs. It is expected that a person who does this will loose about 8-13 lbs in the two weeks.

After this "Phase 1" there will be "Phase 2" which seems a little easier. I'll describe it more when I get to that point.

I am going to be working out during this Phase 1 as well, in order to speed up the weight loss.
